Happy Easter 2010

Happy Easter from Silas and the CREEPY Tacoma Mall Easter Bunny!

Poor little kiddo - the things your mom makes you do for the sake of of a good laugh! As I carried you over to the bunny's lap, your grasp on my arm started getting tighter. You started clasping your legs tightly around both sides of my waist. I had to pry your little body off of mine to put you in the dingy bunny's lap. Trust me, this was hard for me to do...but necessary! They took three photos of you - The first one - looking horribly sad. The second one - with your hand over your mouth as you wailed. And the third - looking totally and completely terrified. I was able to snap this photo with my iPhone to share here on the blog.

We hope you all had a great Easter weekend together. Ours was great...though we were stuck indoors the entire weekend due to some craptastic Tacoma weather. Summer, please arrive sooner than later! (I'm not trying to wish time away...but seriously, the rain and cold can stop anytime now...)

We went to the Maliska's house for Easter dinner on Sunday evening. Thanks to Gabby for catching this family photograph...including the decapitated Peep head in Silas's mouth! All five of us had a great time. Me, Silas, Jonathan, Headless Peep...and THE BEARD. I feel as though the beard has taken on a whole life of its own and deserves to be recognized as a separate person...

The mama and the bebe

My dad and Laurie sent a little easter basket to Silas - we opened it on Sunday morning and Silas LOVED his little stuffed bunny. He was also totally into the wind up, hopping bunny that was in his basket too. Jonathan would wind it up and Silas would giggle as he chased the hopping bunny across the dining room floor. Silas LOVES to snuggle his stuffed animals - he cuddles them and hugs them all the time.

On the way to the Maliska's we made the mistake of putting Si's easter basket in arm's reach. By the time we got there, there was plastic easter grass EVERYWHERE!!!

Gabby and Kenzie had an indoor easter egg hunt at their grandparent's house. Then they scattered a bunch of eggs around for Silas to find. Then all three went to the playroom to open their eggs and make trades - Kenzie wanted all of the M&Ms. Gabby wanted all of the Sour Patch Kids. Silas was happy with his special eggs filled with Teddy Grahams, Baby Goldfish and Marshmallows! (Thanks to Betty, Jennifer's mom, for thinking of Silas and making special baby eggs for him!)

Sorry - can't figure out why this photo is insisting on being sideways...but Gabby and Kenzie tucked Silas into a bed with his bunny and his new easter book about baby animals.

Kenzie loves to kiss and snuggle Silas. And there's no better place to do that than under a Snuggie!

Ah! Love it all. I think you've found a total winning look with your hair...I love it brushed to the side, across your forehead. SO PRETTY! Silas is so sweet with his bunny. And what lovely little girls who play so well with him! Gracie's cousins are a total treat for her to be around. The BEARD is making me giggle a little. At least it doesn't look gross, right? Just kind of...prominent.
