Announcing Little Grover!

Most of you who are reading this new blog already know that in February 2009, Jonathan and I are expecting our first little baby! We are SOOOO excited for this addition to our lives. Things are already wonderful - between loving Ollie and Nell, renovating the basement, enjoying challenging/engaging jobs, visiting with friends and exploring the Pacific Northwest (been here over 2 years already!), we couldn't ask for much more.

But baby is on the way! I'm just about 18 weeks along and feeling good. We had our little scare a few weeks ago. Luckily bed rest corresponded with the Olympics, so I was well entertained while remaining flat those few weeks. (THANK YOU to everyone who called daily, provided support and laughter!) The only upside to the health scare is that we were able to get 3 extra ultrasound sessions that would not normally occur. It helped us to keep positive and see that the baby was still doing well!

We wanted to share some if the ultrasound pictures with you. They aren't the best quality - had to photocopy them, then scan them via e-mail and then copy & paste. They're cute anyway:

This one was at 14 weeks - a cool profile of baby's head and body.

This one is from 17 weeks - it's the profile of the face:

And finally, baby's hand waving at you:
