MERRY CHRISTMAS from The Grove Family!!! Christmas Morning 2009!
Here we are in Spottswood, Virginia celebrating the holiday season with our East Coast Crew! We started out visiting Eileen, Jimmy, Shannon and Meghan in DC for a few days, then headed south to spend Christmas with the Grove Family! Uploading photos from WAAAAY far away from civilization takes a while, so I am going to try to upload a few photos at a time to make sure you all get to see at least a few of Silas's first Christmas! The poor little boy has a horrendous cold and cough, so his nose is red in most of the photos. Nevertheless, he had a wonderful time playing in piles of wrapping paper all Christmas morning.
Oh Tannenbaum! This is the blue spruce that John picked up on Christmas Eve...we wanted to make sure Silas had a real tree for his first Christmas! I learned that the correct usage of the following term is Balled Tree, rather than a Bald Tree. That's what you get when you grow up in Phoenix and don't have the chance to actually plant your Christmas tree after the holiday season.

Another present for me??
Woo Hoo! Good things come in box boxes, too!
This is Jonathan's nephew, Baxter! (Baxter is Stephen's boxer)
Silas's Boma (which is what they call a grandma in Luxemburg, where Chris is from originally) gave him a chocolate lab for Christmas - here they are playing with him together. He has a puppet section at the mouth and can give lots of puppy kisses to Silas.
Having way too much fun with leftover wrapping paper and tissue paper!

I love this, thanks for sharing! I'm also very excited about this new walking toy. Walking is in his close future with this gadget!
