The Birthday Boy! He's wearing an outfit from his Boma (Jonathan's mom) that she got especially for the party - it has a monkey on the front and says "Mom's Lil Monkey!"

Silas in his Birthday Hat

Getting ready to blow out his candle (with his mom's help!) I'm a lot more excited about this than he is...I think he was stunned by a huge room full of people singing to him, all eyes on him and lots of camera flashes going off at him!

Mom & Dad joining Silas as he embarks on a frosting-faced sugar-high!

Oh yeahhhhh - chocolate frosting is everywhere!

Gabby decorated Silas's high chair with monkey signs: "i'm a little LOVE Monkey!" "I go Bananas for you!" and "The Little Monkey (aka) Birthday Boy/Silas" I thought they were adorable. As are the little toes - adorable!

Silas had LOTS of little helpers to pass out and unwrap his huge pile of presents. (can you see the strand of Barrel of Monkeys hanging off the mantle? :) )

Some of our favorite people...
Silas with his grandpa (this was after being changed out of his frosting-covered shirt!)

The monkey's uncle! Mike enjoying a Monkey Tail

Laurie displaying her masterpiece

The Warwick family with their favorite little monkey

Lindsay, Rachelle, Sarah and Avery

Jennifer, Shawn, Chris & Jessica

Jonathan is working on putting together one of Silas's new toys with Anne and Derek

Silas is hanging out in his new bear suit from Rachelle - too cute!

One of Silas's very favorite people - his Shawn helps him ride his new Alphabet Train

January 10, 2009 was an amazing day - Silas was born! And January 10, 2010 was just as fun celebrating his first birthday with our wonderful friends and family! Silas is a lucky, lucky little monkey!

this is random - I wish I could make it a post on your page so everyone could read it.
real quick though- your son is SOOO beautiful! you take amazing pics of him and the little monkey day.
I was told a few days ago this story - blue's best friend was visiting his sis who recently had a baby. he looked in her fridge. it was full of frozen milk. she told him that I was her inspiration and if I could do it, she would too. though she's nursing her baby, she gives all the extra to the freezer soon to be donated. She wanted to put it on me, but REALLY it's on you! You have continued to make an impact and help save lives. :)
BTW, ITS'S GREAT to give milk to my own baby. been a long time...
