Suddenly it hit me that my 1001 days to accomplish my 101 goals might have already passed me by! A quick google search helped me realize that I actually have until May 19, 2011 to work on my 101 in 1001 List! However, that is basically 11 months away - not really that much time left!
So here's an update to where things stand - I really haven't done a whole lot on this list so far this year...gotta get crackin'!
15. Finish basement renovation
This is very much actively in progress!!! After 3 years of chipping away at the basement renovations, Jonathan and I finally bit the bullet and hired a contractor to do the work for us. I don't want to wait another 3 years to finish the project, so I think it's worth the money. I will update with some photos soon (fascinating photos of lumber, insullation and electrical wires...are you excited!?!?). In the meantime, you should know that in the past few weeks, all plumbing has been finalized, all electrical has been completed (thanks Shawn!) and passed inspection, all framing has been complete and passed inspection, insullation has been placed in all walls and ceiling........and I think that the drywall is going up by the end of the week! I am so excited to see the final results. The contractors will also install the cabinets and countertops...and then Jonathan will finish up the flooring, trim and painting.
So, I can't cross this off the list yet, BUT, we're making big strides and I think the project will be finished by the end of the summer - and hopefully even sooner!
26. Take a photography course (March 2010)
Rachelle and I signed up for a Wedding Photography class through TCC. It was actually a bit of a bummer. Didn't learn much. Felt like a waste of money. And a 6'1", 105 pound bride model didn't have a wedding dress to bring to the class. Since mine is still hanging in the back of the closet, I volunteered to bring mine so we'd have a "real" bride to photograph. If any of you believe I'm either 6'1" or 105 pounds, you'd be sadly, sadly mistaken. This poor girl looked like a fool in my dress that was about 6" too short and about 27 sizes too big!!! Oh well - I'm checking this off this list, but I certainly would not mind taking a better class in the next year or so!
51. Fully fund Roth IRA each year
This is still in progress because I'll need to fund this year's and next year's contributions. But we've made the full contribution each year for both Jonathan and me for the past few years and I certainly plan on continuing. Ok, another one that I can't cross off the list, but at least it's in progress!
I need to re-do some of the goals because a few are just not inspirational anymore and I have no desire to complete them...gotta replace them with something FUN instead!

Good job Katie! I really like the idea of setting long-term goals like that. Congrats on reaching them (even if the photography class turned out to be a bummer).
