What a wonderful year 2010 was! Last year I didn't think things could get much better - and I was wrong - our lives just keep improving and we're continually amazed at all the goodness in our lives.
Here were few of the highlights:
In January, Silas turned ONE and we went to Disney World with the Warwicks!
In February, the bank I worked at was taken over by the FDIC, which brought a lot of ambiguity to my work-life for a few months. In the end, things worked out for me better than I could have imagined. My job was retained, along with a promotion, a raise and less responsibility. I enjoy the new company so much, particularly the opportunities to grow and stretch in my job - and the regular excuse to go to Portland for a few days at a time!
March as a quieter month - though Silas really got a grasp on walking and was all over the place! Seeing him learn to walk made me better understand why kids at that age are called "toddlers."
The rest of the Spring got REALLY busy and the blog was moved to the back burner...however, I'm glad I captured a post with "Mommy Out-takes" that captured what life really is like with a kid between 12-18 months. Lots of cuteness, but lots of craziness too.
In June we took a great trip to visit Mike in Oregon and in July we took a family trip to Wisconsin and another to Virginia (which I just realized never was blogged...)
In the Fall, life got busy again - primarily with finishing the basement renovation project (again...just realized never was blogged). What an amazingly stressful and time-consuming few weeks we had in September trying to get it finished and pass inspection. It's so great to have it done and in use now!
In October, Silas was the cutest pumpkin you ever did see and we spent fun time at Tahoma Farms at Harvest Fest.
And some more yet-to-be-blogged adventures in November and December included a visit from Philip and Alicia and Mike over Thanksgiving...and then our trip to Phoenix for Christmas!
Happy New Year to all - I'm looking forward to 2011's adventures and hoping for lots of laughter, health and time spent with loved ones. (And maybe even more blogging, too!)
