All but one of the crew has arrived safe and soundly in Tacoma...and the final brother arrives tomorrow morning. I'm amazed that no flights were delayed or cancelled due to the crazy crazy snow here in Tacoma. It's a full, fun, crazy house. The dogs think they've died and gone to heaven!
Not too many stories yet - just lots of chatting, playing games, watching movies, etc. I feel more restless than ever, since I want to get up and go shopping with everyone. And make Christmas treats with everyone. All that. (Though, I was totally content to play the bed-ridden child-bearer while Jonathan and Stephen shovelled snow from the front steps, walkway and sidewalks!) Jonathan's mom, Chris, is the true domestic queen (I'm just a wannabe). She has washed all the material that was purchased to make the baby blanket...and she thinks there's enough to make some curtains too...so Jonathan is going to pull out the sewing machine later today so that Chris can help make the baby blanket (and more)! This baby's room is going to be such a beautiful room of hand-made treasures from so many different family members...so sweet.
A few people are out to lunch right now, and others are finishing their Christmas shopping...so I'm here alone for the first time since Wednesday morning! The peacefulness is nice, but I already miss the hub-bub.
We've got a doc appointment tomorrow, get to 34 weeks on Wednesday and Christmas is on Thursday and have a Pediatrician meet-and-greet appointment on Friday. Something to look forward to each day for the rest of the week!
Kelly pulled off her amazing feat of adopting a Kindergarten class in AZ for Christmas. Visit her very moving post: click here. Kel - thanks so much for letting Jonathan and me be a part of your project.
