Miscellaneous Monday

1) I love Whoopi Goldberg and despise Elizabeth Hasselbeck on The View. Yes, I do watch The View at 10am these days. I just want to hug Whoopi. I actually had a dream about her last night. We were at a Walgreens-type store shopping in the clearance area, reminiscing about when we first met. It was wacky. I think I officialy "met" Whoopi for the first time while watching Sister Act back in 1992. The good ol' days.

2) I have simultaneous excitement and fear for tomorrow. Not only is Rachelle going to come over and do crafts with me for the bulk of the day (banker's hours!), but I also have a doctor's appointment. Meaning - I get to leave the house!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go for the gestational diabetes testing at 3pm and my 28 week OB appointment at 4pm. I'm not sure if I can handle that much stimulation in one day. It's gonna be crazzzzy.

3) My dad and Jonathan are on the phone right now talking about Joe Biden. Biden created the Violence Against Women Act - and this legislation funds Jonathan's position at PLU via the Department of Justice. Thanks Joe!

4) The dogs got baths today. White poodles are so much cuter than dingy brown poodles.
5) It's important to learn something new every day. Here's something you might not know...

Hey! That does it, I have to start watching "The View" too, just for the sake of solidarity. I heard that nasty little blonde waif is from "Survivor". So weird that she's even on there! I loved "Sister Act" and "The Color Purple". I have had lots o' dreams about characters from "The West Wing". So I can relate.
I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Try to make sure the diabetes test stuff is COLD. It's kind of tasty, if you like Orange Crush soda (which I do, except it totally makes me sick if I drink 8 oz). Loved the nursing illustration. Where did you find that? I checked out your crafty blogs. They are super cool, but also very depressing, in a way. It seems I have frittered my time away on God knows what, when I should have been learning to become self sufficient and make stuff. So I am inspired, I guess. Also, I found a blog called "Mom 101", which is HILARIOUS, and I would totally recommend it if you haven't seen it yet.
Good luck tomorrow! OH, and I saw an example of your bird mobile. Awesome!! Can't wait to see Grovie's :).

I always liked Whoopie's movies too. Can't bring myself to watch daytime tv though. I have a huge block to it.
How neat and personal that the man furthering Jonathan's dream is now the "VP Elect." Makes the world a little smaller. when I see your baby ticker and it only has 80 something days, wow - that doesn't seem so long. Can't wait to hear about tomorrow.
