Just a quick check in before ending the day.
Jonathan picked Mike up from the airport this morning and we've been having fun just chatting and lounging most of the day.
I had a doctor's appointment this afternoon. Other than my quads BURNING when I had to stand for a few minutes while checking in, everything is good. And I felt like I was going to faint for a few minutes in the doctor's office. But it passed after i got some cold, wet cloths on my forehead and a cup of cold water. Yet, Grovie is doing just fine - measuring as normal and 143 heart rate. Grovie gave a good solid KICK to the doppler machine as well - perhaps as a little hello.
And this evening, Rachelle brought over MORE biscotti (my FAVE) and a pecan pie. She was able to stay and chat for a few hours, which I really enjoyed. She got to hear me freak out about FMLA stuff for quite a while. I'm kind of stressed about planning for going back to work - and how to handle that when I get off bed rest at 36 weeks. I'm sure it'll all turn out fine and smooth, but I'm so detail-oriented and feel the need to analyze every situation from every possible angle...I end up more confused than when I started. Of course, it'd be easier if I could just go into work and meet with the necessary people for a while, but of course, will be glued to the couch for 6 more weeks. That's pretty wild...By January 7th-ish I should be up and moving again. Though the fact that I had burning quad muscles and a feeling of wanting to pass out today makes me nervous about how quickily I will be able to return to the real world. Today was the first time out of the house since Nov 11!
Anyway, Eileen, Meghan, Jimmy and Shannon all arrive Wednesday afternoon! I think Mike's going to do a little hiking at Mt Rainier during the day. And then we'll all be one big happy family in the evening.

I hope some of the biscotti lasts until the rest of the family gets there today, (pie too).
I'm so sad I'm missing the Mount Rainier hike. I need to come visit soon! Isn't it too rainy/cold there to hike this time of year?
Hope you have an amazing time with the family!
